Metastate was founded by António Lopes after a few years at one of the Big Four real estate firms. That’s where he learned what rigour really means — dossiers read three times before signing, decisions defended with data, clients who forgive no detail out of place. He took all of that with him. Left the rest behind.
He left to build something of his own: a house where the work began with the client, not the listing. Where every property was treated as a dossier, every viewing as a long conversation, every sale as the end of a relationship — not of a transaction. Metastate was born out of that reversal.
Over the years we’ve embedded artificial intelligencein almost every step of the process — from client/property matching to pricing, from photography to dossier writing, from portal distribution to consultant time management. Not to replace anyone. To free up human time for what actually matters: knowing the house, knowing the person, and bringing the two together with intelligence.
That method enabled rare growth, and brought new consultants with it. Each one was invited — never recruited. They go through a seven-day training, proving they master documentation, taxes, territory, and risk zones. We don’t accept just anyone, because every consultant wearing this uniform signs in our name. Only those we’d proudly introduce to our most demanding client get in.
“We don’t sell houses. We edit lives.”
